Our Story

Danny Brooks, author of three books in the Miracles For Breakfast Series, including the latest, Supernatural Thinking, and previous The Journey Continues, have both been endorsed by renowned motivational speaker/author Denis Waitley. After a life marked by addiction and incarceration, Danny found his way to recovery and discovered a passion for helping others. Together with Lil Miss Debi, they have incorporated their message of hope into original music, creating a transformative experience for their audiences. Danny’s fourth book in the Miracles For Breakfast Series, The Lonely Battle is currently under review with Harper Collins, who has the rights to his first book in the Miracles For Breakfast Series.

Dream with Your Sleeves Rolled Up!

 

1:        Prepare, Plan, Pray: You will never be ready until you start something.

2:        Believe!  If you can believe, all things are possible!  Belief attracts the necessary forces needed for success!

3:        Attitude is Everything!  Like believing, your attitude will not only attract the people you need, it will sustain you in the process.

4:        Forgive Yourself!   We all carry baggage from life experiences; after years of substance abuse, it was only after forgiving myself could I move forward with confidence and effectiveness.

5:        Be Open, Be Honest, Be Willing!  Readiness will follow.  Do not be afraid to be vulnerable.

6:        Diligence is man’s precious possession.  Make up your own mind or others will do it for you.  Always give it 150%.

7:        Your will is what will see you cross the finish line as a winner.  Your will determines whether you succeed or fail.

Dream with your sleeves rolled up!  Ecclesiastes 5:3 says “A dream comes through much activity.”

No matter how far down you have fallen, how hopeless things may appear to be at the moment, there is absolutely nothing God and you can’t work out together to get back on a happy, winning track with purpose.

Believe in What You Are Doing!

Most people attained their success through hard work, executed with a good plan and a belief in what they were doing. They believed therefore they became what they pictured in their minds. It has been my experience that in everything I believed in, my goals, my dreams and plans to attain them, attracted others who got on board and shared the dream as well and wanted to help. I would not be in the position I am in today without the help from these incredible individuals. You may be in a one room rundown hotel with little to show for but a suitcase, maybe a guitar and a laptop and having to eat sparingly with a diet of macaroni and pancakes; but if you have ideas and you believe in them, you are in the middle of a miracle waiting to unfold, grow and happen. I know this to be true and wrote hundreds of songs this way. So too, have people like Sylvester Stallone, Janis Joplin, Jim Carey, and countless others who have had their backs to the wall. They rose to their success mainly because of their belief! Yes, we need help along the way from others and why do you think they are helping you? Because they believe in you because you do! Listen please; I know despair, deep down and dark as a cloud covered country-field night, with no light pollution from the city, and no light from the stars and moon. Total darkness! I am not a religious fanatic, far from it, just a humble lucky guy, who has more than I ever did to deserve. But I know this; that when we call out for help to God for direction, He listens; no matter where you are in your faith or lack thereof. With His help, that I asked for, (ask and you shall receive) I was able to develop possibility thinking. No wonder as He put it into me! I was not long out of rehab and didn't have two nickels to rub together, but I started to believe! Once you can believe and are willing to roll up your sleeves, you are developing definiteness of purpose! When you have this, you are now in a powerful position and aligning yourself to the mystical and mysterious powers that be, and they will propel you to seeing your goals come to fruition. Because you BELIEVE! Also, it sends the right message to others to see and benefit by. Everything we do has a ripple effect! Everything we do, including failures along the way, brings us closer to our desired result! Readiness will always follow willingness!
